With more than 1 million albums sold during a 4 gold album aftermath during the GOGO Era of 1995-2002, DONNIE GOGO should be a household brand name. But that invisibilty has enabled GOGO to pursue the ultimate dream - to return to hisroots on US soil and showcase an uncanny ability to not only rock the mic but produce records able to hit the underground to the top of billboard charts. He is currently working on his artist Jessica Ho.pe (formerly known as Jessica H.O) US release DTBD under chinkyaiee productions as well as his own US debut. He is also working on track/song production with many of today's top artists/rappers from both East to West coast.
Donnie GOGO, born'n'raised in NY(Queens), seemed destined to rapmusic since his early years. After getting exiled from a prestigious High School in NJ, GOGO ended up in Beekman T.School in the Bronx where he met Chi-Ali of the early 90's rap group Black Sheep. Mixing in with the wrong crowd(NY's late 80's rush of Asian Gangs) guided GOGO into the hands of Hip Hop, where he was at home with rap music and lyricism. Always possessing a knack for art(composition+painting)......the unification of GOGO's 5 senses was born. In 1992, GOGOs path to fame made an abrupt U-Turn....as he was shipped off to his native country, South Korea, without consent....thus beginning the first steps in his music career. At this stage, rap/hip hop/music in general was nothing but a hobby-till a famous Korean artist approached GOGO wanting him to cut a record. In 1995, GOGO sold half a million copies of the album titled Us. 3 albums later and another half million albums sold, with numerous collaborations with U.S artists/producers (Xzibit, AKON, Ciara, Krayzie Bone, Tommy Costar Jr., ect..), Japanese and fellow Korean stars....Donnie GOGO is going back...back...to where it all started.
